Current Job Opportunities
At Cessnock Basketball, we’re all about building confident players, backing our awesome volunteers, and running comps that people genuinely love being part of.
Court Supervisor
We’re on the lookout for a Court Supervisor who knows their way around a basketball stadium and enjoys being right in the middle of the action. You’ll be the go-to person on game days – helping players, refs, officials and families, and making sure everything runs smoothly from tip-off to the final buzzer.

This role is hands-on and varied – from setting up courts and keeping things safe and organised, to answering questions and solving any little hiccups that pop up during games. If you’re someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in a well-run comp, and can keep things friendly and professional, you’ll fit right in.

Most importantly, you’ll help us create a positive, inclusive vibe where everyone feels welcome – whether they’re playing, officiating or cheering from the sidelines.

Referee Development Officer
Our referees are a huge part of that – and we’re really proud of the group we’ve built. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Referee Development Officer to help take things to the next level.

This role is perfect for someone who’s already a confident referee and is passionate about developing others. You’ll work closely with our referee group to coach, mentor and support them – whether they’re just starting out or working towards higher-level opportunities.
It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be planning sessions, supporting referees on game days, and helping create a positive, supportive environment where refs can build confidence and enjoy what they do.

We’re looking for someone who can connect with people, stay organised, and manage a mix of busy and quieter periods across the year.
